Pendant Necklaces

A gold pendant necklace works because of the relationship between the chain and the charm. The chain has to be light enough to let the pendant sit centered without pulling to one side, and strong enough not to kink under the weight of the charm. The bail (the loop that connects the pendant to the chain) has to be sized so the pendant hangs flat instead of tipping forward or sliding sideways. Every pendant necklace in this collection is matched at the bench in our Athens workshop so the chain and charm work together, not against each other.

The pendant is where personality comes in. A diamond solitaire reads different than a heart, a letter, a bar, or a geometric shape. What they share is the same requirement: the pendant has to be solid 14k gold, the bail has to hold up to daily opening and closing of the clasp, and the chain has to be long enough to sit where the wearer wants it on her neckline.
