Are these made from solid gold?
Yes, every part of them. The bead, the prongs, the post and the setting are solid 14k gold, never plated, filled or vermeil. Solid gold does not tarnish, fade or discolor, and it will not turn your skin green, so it looks the same in year ten as it does the day it arrives. They are handcrafted in our Athens workshop by goldsmiths continuing over 70 years of family tradition.

Is the diamond real?
Yes. It is a genuine lab grown diamond, chemically and optically identical to a mined diamond; a jeweler looking through a loupe sees exactly what you see, a real diamond. Each stone is 1.8mm, 0.05ct in total for the pair, cut to E to G color and VVS1 clarity, the range where the eye reads pure white light with no cloudiness. Your order arrives with the ENEA Studio certificate of authenticity, so what is written on the paper matches what is on your ear.

How big are they? Will they actually show?
The whole earring stands about 4.6mm on the lobe: a 1.8mm diamond next to a 3.0mm gold bead, sometimes called a ball stud. That is deliberately small. It reads as two points of light rather than a piece of jewelry announcing itself, which is exactly why it works in a second or third piercing and next to anything else you already wear.

Can I wear them every day?
Yes, that is what they are made for. At about 0.17g each they are light enough to forget you put them on, the diamond is prong set by hand so nothing loosens with daily wear, and solid gold handles real life: sleep in them, shower in them, wash your hair in them. The only things worth avoiding are pools and the sea, since chlorine and salt are hard on any gold alloy.

Do these come as a pair?
Yes. Every order is a matched pair, made together in our Athens workshop so the two stones and two beads sit identically. Wear them stone up or bead up; both ways are correct, and they look their best when each ear matches. They also come in yellow, white and rose gold, so you can mix metals across the ear without leaving the same workshop.
