Our workshop floor in Athens is about seventy meters end to end and a gold chain necklace travels the entire distance before it reaches a box. Raw gold grain goes into the crucible at one end of the room. Melted, alloyed to our 14k formula with the copper and silver ratios we spent two years calibrating, poured into ingots, rolled into sheet or drawn into wire on machines that are older than most of the goldsmiths operating them. One of the wire drawing machines has a hand crank as backup because it broke in 2019 and our machinist welded a handle onto it while we waited for the replacement motor. The motor arrived, got installed, and we never removed the handle. It is still there. Occasionally someone uses it when the motor sounds wrong.

The point is that every necklace for women in this collection is fabricated from grain to finished piece under one roof. We do not order chains from Shenzhen and solder pendants onto them and stamp our name on the clasp. The gold that becomes the clasp is the same gold that becomes the chain. Same melt, same alloy, same bench.
