Are these made from solid gold?
Yes, every part of them. The disc, the post and the push back are solid 14k gold, never plated, filled or vermeil. Solid gold does not tarnish, fade or discolor, and it will not turn your skin green, so a disc this small can be worn every day for years and still look the way it did on day one. They are handcrafted in our Athens workshop by goldsmiths continuing over 70 years of family tradition.

How big is the disc? Will it show?
The disc is 3.5mm across, about the size of a peppercorn, polished flat so the whole surface catches light at once. It is deliberately small: it reads as a clean point of gold rather than a piece of jewelry announcing itself, which is why it works in a second or third piercing and as the calm anchor at the top of a stack.

Can I buy a single stud?
Yes. Every Diskos is available as a single stud or as a matched pair. A single is the right choice for one specific piercing, an asymmetric stack, or replacing a stud you have lost. The pair is priced below two singles.

Can I wear them every day?
Yes, that is exactly what they are made for. A flat disc has nothing to catch on hair, masks or pillows, the post is a standard 10mm push back, and solid gold handles real life: sleep in them, shower in them, wash your hair in them. The only things worth avoiding are pools and the sea, since chlorine and salt are hard on any gold alloy.

Which metal should I choose?
All three are solid 14k gold and priced the same. Yellow gold is the warmest against the skin and the classic choice, white gold reads cool and almost silver, and rose gold sits between the two with a soft blush. Because the disc is so simple, mixing metals across one ear looks intentional rather than mismatched.
