Which size should I choose?
At 0.25 ct the marquise is a fine line of light, a little over 6 mm end to end, made for every day and for layering. At 0.50 ct it reads clearly from across a table without asking for attention. At 0.75 and 1.00 ct, almost a centimetre long, it becomes the piece people ask you about. Because the marquise is the longest cut for its weight, each size looks larger than a round diamond of the same carat. Lab grown or natural: what is the difference?
Both are real diamonds, with the same carbon, hardness and fire; a jeweler cannot tell them apart without laboratory equipment. A natural diamond formed in the earth over millions of years and is far rarer, which is why it costs more. We hold both to the same standard: F to G color, SI1 clarity or better, graded by IGI or GIA. Choose natural if origin matters to you or the necklace marks a moment you want to pass down; choose lab grown to put the same budget into a larger stone.

Why is the marquise set east to west?
Turned on its side, the marquise lies along the collarbone the way a line of light would, rather than pointing down like a drop. It is a quieter, more modern way to wear a solitaire, and it layers cleanly with finer chains above or below.

How long will my necklace take?
Lab grown diamonds are set and finished in 3 to 5 business days. For a natural diamond we select the stone and set it in about 10 business days. Can I wear it every day?
Yes. The setting, claws and chain are solid 14k gold, never plated, so it will not tarnish, fade or mark your skin, and four claws hold both tips of the marquise. Take it off for the pool and the sea, where chlorine and salt are hard on any gold alloy.
