Selas Diamond Cluster Studs

Are these made from solid gold?
Yes, every part of them. The cluster, the grains of gold between the stones, the post and the push back are solid 14k yellow gold, never plated, filled or vermeil. Solid gold does not tarnish, fade or discolor, and it will not irritate the piercing, so they can be worn every day for years and still look the way they did on day one. They are handcrafted in our Athens workshop by goldsmiths continuing over 70 years of family tradition.

Are the diamonds real?
Yes. Each stud holds seven genuine lab grown diamonds, chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds; a jeweler looking through a loupe sees exactly what you see, real diamonds. The center stone is 2.7mm, ringed by six 1.6mm stones, 0.17 carats per stud and 0.34 carats for the pair, cut to E to G color and VVS2 clarity, a grade at which the eye reads pure white light. Your earrings ship with the ENEA Studio certificate of authenticity.

How big do they look on the ear?
Each cluster is 7.3mm across, close to the face width of a one and a half carat solitaire, because seven stones set edge to edge spread the light of a much larger diamond. They sit flat against the lobe on a standard push back post, so they read as one bright point of light on each ear rather than a heavy earring: visible across a table, never in the way.

Can I buy a single stud?
Yes. The Selas studs are available as a single stud or as a matched pair. A single works for an asymmetric stack, one specific piercing, or as the bright point at the bottom of a curated ear; the pair is priced below two singles.

Is there a matching ring or necklace?
Yes, both. The studs share their seven stone cluster and grains of gold with the Selas Diamond Cluster Ring and the Selas Diamond Necklace, made in the same workshop and the same three metals, so the three read as one set at the ear, the collarbone and the hand. Worn together the effect is quiet; worn apart, each still carries the whole idea.
