Is this necklace made from solid gold?

Yes, all of it. The pendant, the chain, the clasp, and even the small grains of gold between the diamonds are solid 14k gold, never plated, filled, or vermeil. Solid gold does not tarnish, fade, or discolor, and it will not turn your skin green; it looks the same in year ten as it does today. It is handcrafted in our Athens workshop by goldsmiths continuing over 70 years of family tradition, and the back is an open gold gallery finished as cleanly as the front.

Are the diamonds real?
Yes. All seven stones are genuine lab grown diamonds, chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds; a jeweler looking through a loupe sees exactly what you see, real diamonds. The center stone is 2.5mm, ringed by six 1.5mm stones, 0.14 carats in total, cut to E-G color and VS1 clarity, grades at which the eye reads pure white light. Your necklace ships with a Certificate of Authenticity, so what is on the paper matches what is on your skin.

How big is the pendant? Will it show?
The cluster measures 6.4mm across, almost exactly the width of a full one carat solitaire, because seven stones set edge to edge spread the light of a much larger diamond. It shows clearly across a table without ever announcing itself, which is why people tend to lean in for a closer look. On the fine 1mm chain it sits right at the collarbone, present but never heavy.

Can I wear this every day?
Yes, that is exactly what it is made for. At around 1.2 grams it is light enough to forget you are wearing it, and every diamond is set by hand, so nothing rattles or loosens with daily wear. Solid 14k gold handles real life: sleep in it, shower in it, do the dishes in it. The only things worth avoiding are pools and the sea, since chlorine and salt are hard on any gold alloy, and workouts where a fine chain could catch on something.

Does this work for layering with other necklaces?
Yes, beautifully. The adjustable 16 to 18 inch chain lets you fine tune where it falls, so keep at least 2 inches of length difference from your other pieces and the chains will hang in clean, separate lines that never tangle.
