Is this bracelet solid gold or plated?
Solid 14k yellow gold, every link, the extender and the spring ring clasp, never plated, filled or vermeil. A sparkle chain lives or dies by its facets, and plating wears off the edges of a facet first, which is why plated versions go dull within months. Solid gold keeps its cut for life. It is handcrafted in our Athens workshop by goldsmiths continuing over 70 years of family tradition.

What is a sparkle chain?
A chain whose links are cut with flat facets on a diamond cutting wheel after they are formed, so each link has small mirror faces angled in different directions. Light catches a different face with every movement of the wrist and the whole length flickers, which is why it is also called a diamond cut or margarita chain. There are no stones in it; the sparkle is the gold itself.

Is it strong enough for every day?
Yes. Most sparkle chain bracelets sold online are hollow and come with a warning to handle them with care; this one is 1.1 grams of solid 14k gold at 1.1 to 1.2mm wide. Wear it daily, sleep in it, shower in it. Take it off for the pool and the sea, since chlorine and salt are hard on any gold alloy, and avoid pulling on it when you fasten the clasp.

How long is it and can I adjust it?
The bracelet is 7 inches with a 2cm extender, so it fits most wrists close and can be let out to just under 8 inches for a looser drape. Measure around your wrist with a strip of paper and add half an inch for a close fit or a full inch for a relaxed one; if your measurement lands above 8 inches, write to us and we will make it longer.

Is there a matching necklace?
Yes. The Lumière Sparkle Chain Necklace is the same diamond cut chain at 16 inches, cut from the same gold in the same workshop, so the two read as one line of light at the collarbone and the wrist. The bracelet also stacks with a smooth chain or a diamond station bracelet, where its texture reads against the plain one.
